Transportation
Taxi Aeropuerto (known as Taxis Unidos), are the official taxis of Juan Santamaria International Airport. The taxis are orange colored with the company's logo painted white on the door. other taxis in Costa Rica are red. Advance reservations can be made at www.taxiaeropuerto.com. Taxis are numerous and easy to find at the Airport.
After claiming your luggage and exiting the final customs stop, you will see a window (on the left as you exit) where you can pre-pay your transfer. The trip to the Hotel is approximately 19 km ( approximately 20 minutes depending on traffic and hour of the day) The fare per taxi (not per person) is $25. Although tipping is customary, there should be no extra charges other than the fare paid at the Airport window.
